FAQs

Our surface BOP control systems are custom-engineered and manufactured in strict accordance with API Spec 16D (Control Systems for Drilling Well Control Equipment) and API Spec 6A guidelines. Every system undergoes factory pressure testing and dynamic sequence validation prior to shipment, ensuring compliance with FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing) standards required for onshore and offshore drilling operations.

Standard systems operate at a nominal hydraulic working pressure of 3,000 psi (21 MPa), with nitrogen pre-charge accumulator pressures factory-set according to API 16D sizing calculations. Accumulator bottle banks (available with ASME, PED, or national pressure vessel certifications) are modularly sized from 40L to 1,000L+ based on the total usable fluid volume (FVR) needed to operate your specific BOP stack configuration.

To ensure continuous operational readiness, our systems incorporate dual-power hydraulic generation: primary electric-driven triplex plunger pumps paired with secondary air-driven liquid pumps. In the event of a total site power loss, the pre-charged accumulator bank provides immediate stored energy, while the air-driven pumps act as a pneumatic backup when compressed air supply is available.

We offer both Pneumatic Driller’s Consoles and PLC-based Remote Auxiliary Control Panels. Remote consoles can be configured to meet hazardous location certifications, including Class I, Division 1 / Division 2 or ATEX / IECEx Zone 1 / Zone 2 (via explosion-proof enclosures or positive-pressure purge systems), allowing operators to safely execute emergency control sequences away from the wellhead.
