API 6A Christmas Trees play a critical role throughout the operational life of an oil and gas well. Installed after well completion, the Christmas Tree provides secure pressure control, regulates production flow, enables well intervention, and supports enhanced recovery operations while maintaining the integrity and safety of the well.
Well Completion
After drilling operations are completed and the Blowout Preventer (BOP) is removed, the Christmas Tree is installed on the wellhead to establish permanent well control. It provides a secure pressure-containing barrier, isolates the wellbore, and prepares the well for safe production.
